Be a part of our supportive and creative community of musicians, poets and performers. Every Tuesday night we run an open mic which focuses on developing local and visiting talent who knows what you will get at the Fringe Bar! A mixture of performances every week a perfect opportunity for networking and gaining experience on stage.
Performers are allowed to perform 3 songs or fill a time of 15 minutes, covers and original compositions are perfectly acceptable and we love to hear what you have to offer.
Generally, first performance starts at 7:30pm and sign ups happen on the night, the night usually ends with performers jamming with one another and exploring new material and ideas. We provide a drum kit, bass guitar with amp an acoustic piano, acoustic guitar, bongos and all of the technical bits and bobs you could need (PA/Mics/Leads/DI boxes).
Come check out our open mic, who knows this may be the start of your musical career! Sign up on the night is encouraged however we do accept pre-bookings in the event of band setups and other acts which may require preparation or sound checks.

It’s a sexy book club, a sapphic slumber party, a sumptuous and scandalous event sure to arouse, educate and entertain all at once. Perhaps even a few handy sex tips here and there! We’ll be sauntering through the literary landscape of all things kinky in an evening. It’s a night not to be missed.

The main event will be followed by cocktails and conversation – so stick around, chat to the cast and perhaps do some reading of your own.

Capital Comedy’s newest show Sing It Wrong is a show where we take songs you know and love and rewrite the lyrics, making them funnier than they ever were on the radio.
The acts have written these parodies themselves especially for the night! Hear lyrics that make you laugh until your sides hurt and if you want to, sing along.
This is a show designed to mix the best bits of live music and comedy, hosted by two lovely ladies Julz Burgisser and Katie Boyle. They’ll crack jokes, sing their own songs and introduce your lineup of comedy singers.
The lineup is full of all types of performers, from comedians to musicians and including people who are usually found doing other performance, like actors, sports people and dancers. It’s a lively fun show where anything could happen on stage during their time to shine!
